Most and Least Affordable States for Auto Insurance
Believe it or not, Massacuhusetts drivers have the most affordable auto insurance premiums in the nation for 2011, according to
Internet insurance vendor InsWeb. "Affordability" means the median auto insurance premiums, compared with the median household income. Therefore, the lowest average premium is not necessarily the most affordable.
This is the second straight year Massachusetts has topped the lost. The least affordable state is Louisiana. InsWeb rated the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C.
